Format.AudioBitDepth

Definition

For a program or resource, the element FORMAT.AUDIOBITDEPTH measures an audio signal by the number of data bits assigned to a sample. Audio bit depth answers the question "How Much" data is allocated to a digital sampling of an audio signal.

It provides information important for identifying retrieval and playback/display requirements for a resource. It is also an indicator of the perceived playback quality of the resource.
